In a previous post I wrote about balancing our time and taking time to appreciate what is around us. I had to do this very consciously this past week. Both my children began their baseball and softball activities. They are fully enjoying it, however it has been a very challenging schedule for our family. Here are some pictures I took in my own yard.
This blog is about my study of photography and using it to teach an appreciation for nature. I want to get people of all ages back in touch with what is right outside their window and appreciate the wonders around them. I also include experiences from parenting my own children and how I have helped them appreciate and care for the natural world.

I'm constantly amazed by the things my 5 1/2 year old thinks and feels about the world. To see him take pleasure in the beauty of nature is one of my greatest rewards. Hang in there -- sounds like you're adjusting well so far! :)
